Who is Liz Bishop?
Liz Bishop is a television broadcaster from the United States. She has been working as a news anchor at WRGB for a record 48 years. In other words, Liz has spent her whole adult life as a member of the CBS6 News crew.
She is considered to be one of the pioneers of the first all-female newscast and was among the first female reporters to be admitted inside the New York Yankees locker room when the courts granted access to women reporters.
She began her long career as a weekend sportscaster and has had a wide range of responsibilities.
Today, she co-anchors CBS6 News at 6, 630, 10, and 11 p.m. She also came up with the wildly popular Perp Patrol program with help from the local police.
When Liz was inducted into the New York State Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame in June 2016, she became a member of a select group of broadcasters and is now surrounded by legends like Walter Cronkite, Mike Wallace, and Barbara Walters.
